Gayman Louie

Sacramento, California – Gayman passed away unexpectedly at age 69 from cardiac arrest on March 2, 2022. Though he had a few relationships, he never married. He is survived by older brother, Terry (Madonna Kelsey); two older sisters, Cynthia Cugie Peterson and Jorine Louie Weiner; nephew, Chad Fong; grandnephew, Christopher Lam; and two grandnieces, Dalena Lam and Alexis Saechao. Predeceased by great grandniece, Ada Ann Marie Lam McLaughlin; niece, Tiffany Fong Saechao; and parents, George and Jennie.

He worked 7+/- years for Louis Florists. Then in various agencies for the State of California for about 39 years. He was a good worker and was liked by all his co-workers. He retired in March 2018 from Dept. of Technology.

Gayman was good, kind, thoughtful and considerate to everyone; and to those he had a deep affection for, he was loving, caring and generous. He unselfishly helped and looked after other’s needs more than his own.

Growing up quiet and shy, and a deep thinker, he took to writing. He wrote journals of poetry in his younger years, and wrote down his thoughts throughout the years. During COVID he was somehow inspired to write a science fiction/adventure story. Sadly, we will never get to read it, but portions of it have been written.

Gayman loved going to the movies, especially all the Star Wars and Marvel movies. His favorite character was Iron Man (and Wonder Woman). His favorite singers were Barry Manilow and Neal Diamond. He loved books of all kinds, especially stories and history on the military and on war. He also liked books about Bruce Lee and Chinese Martial Arts. He enjoyed growing plants and eating out with friends and family. Though he was not religious, he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ! He also loved and believed in Angels!

Gayman will be cremated and his ashes will be held lovingly by his grandniece and grandnephew until future burial arrangements can be made.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate in memory of Gayman to his favorite charity, Shriners Hospitals for Children in Sacramento, or to your favorite charity.

Gayman will be dearly missed, but fondly and forever remembered!!!
